For a LONG time I was waiting for my life to change. I kept saying, it would get better when I got married, then it would get better when I had kids. THEN, it would get better when those kids were older. The problem wasn't with what was going on in my life, the problem was, I wasn't INTENTIONALLY creating the life I wanted. I was letting it happen to me.
NOT ANYMORE.
I found fitness coaching 18 months ago, and I have never been more sure of what I am meant to do.

Ditch the scale
I'm serious. Get rid of the scale. Or, just quit weighing yourself every day. Did you know our weight naturally fluctuates up to 2 lbs daily?
Those 2 lbs used to drive me CRAZY.
I was recently told by a sister that she couldn't believe I weighed as much as I do. I'm 5'7, I weigh 147, and I am between a size 4 and 6. When I was in high school, I weighed the same. BUT, the big difference was my size. I was between a size 9 and 11. Weigh is on the scale does NOT matter, and I know it's SO hard to focus on that. What I work with people on is measurements. Measurements are SO much more accurate of fat loss than weight loss is. So, if you are working on losing weight. Focus on fat loss, take pictures, and take your measurements, and use those as a guide, not the scale.

I'm in my HAPPY place today! I restarted my FAVORITE program!!!
I stayed away from weights for a LONG time time because I didn't want to look bulky like a guy. I didn't know at the time that I really couldn't bulk up. I always wanted to look nice and lean, but didn't realize that meant building muscle. "tone"="muscle"
Don't get intimidated by the weight room, or by a program called Body Beast. It just might be your favorite thing!

First 5 mile run
This is what your face looks like after a five mile run when it's been WAY too long since you last did a five mile run. Pretty sure I was dehydrated thru most of it because I had a pretty nasty throbbing in my right temple... But it could have been the allergies as well. Sometimes your plan will change... Just don't change the goal.
It used to really bother me if I missed a day of a particular program, or if I did a different workout than the one scheduled. It would make me feel like a failure. Today was scheduled to be Plyo Fix Extreme(lots of jumping), and with my fatigue, that was not going to happen. But I still wanted to get some kind of workout in, so yoga it was. The older I get, the more I realize yoga's importance. And the more I do it, the better I get. My Crow (top pic) is getting better. I don't feel like a failure for switching things up. Sometimes your plan has to change, but the goal will always remain the same.

It's not how bad you wish for it...
I've been struggling with how to post this all day today. All these pictures have something in common. I'm working in my home office in all of them.

I REALLY try to make sure I'm working around their school schedule, but sometimes that doesn't happen, and I have to work while they are home. I am able to attend school events, like plays and choir concerts because I am my own boss. I say when I work, I say HOW much I work. I'm BLESSED beyond words that this opportunity came into my life.
Today I hit a HUGE milestone with my business, one I thought would take me longer to hit. I get paid weekly, and my paycheck today was more than $1,000. It was more money than I made ALL last month. It was also double my previous largest check. This business sure has some ups and downs, and some weeks my pay really didn't reflect how much work I had put in for the week, but it DOES start to pay off.
I have very specific goals that I am working to reach, but this is the change I've started to make. I'm not just WISHING, saying "someday, I'll do that" I'm working at making it happen right now. I LOVE my job. I have a hard time even calling it that, because it REALLY doesn't feel like a job. It's my dream! When I was young I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to HELP people. I am not a doctor, but I'm doing what I wanted to be doing. I'm helping people.

I'm just a mom of 4 kids who wanted to stay at home, and I'm so lucky to have found something I love that allows me to do that. Springtime happy.
It's SPRING time and this weather(here in Idaho) makes me HAPPY!!!
When I was in college I used to write down in a journal things that made me happy. Have you ever done that?

#1. I got dressed and hair done! (that is not an every day occurrence - might have to do with me going on a date with the hubby and some friends tonight...)
#2. I'm heading out to get a new phone!!! I really need to upgrade my iphone, so it's happening TODAY (thank you Beachbody!)
#3. The 21 Day Fix is on sale for 2 more days!!! I LOVE when they extend a sale on the MOST popular program!
#4. I just paid off my LAST student loan! (again, thank you Beachbody!)
#5. I weighed myself after my first week on The 21 Day Fix Extreme... And I'm down 3 lbs, and that's after eating breakfast!
